Rising Stars Program

The strength of the Knowledge Industry is built on its ability to attract and retain a high caliber workforce. Understanding the importance of recognizing IT professionals throughout New Brunswick, Rising Stars has awarded over 40 IT individuals for their achievements in their profession.

New for 2007 - Junior Stars

This year, the Greater Moncton Knowledge Industry Network (GMKIN) is excited to announce the addition of Junior Stars to the Rising Stars Awards. This year the award, which is aimed at High School students throughout New Brunswick, will be presented to six deserving individuals who have distinguished themselves in fields related to Science and Technology in their schools and/or communities. We want to encourage youth to strive for their dreams and allow them to be recognized for their strengths.
ObjectiveThe Rising Stars event is an annual provincial event to recognize knowledge industry workers, in companies or organizations throughout New Brunswick, who have distinguished themselves with the quality of their work and for their positive impact in their community and the industry.

Mentorship
These Rising Stars, in addition to being recognized for their work, will be provided with a mentorship program for the year. The objective of the mentorship program is to prepare them to become our future leaders … and entrepreneurs.
