"Our experience with Whitehill has been a very positive one for us, and they have helped us implement our vision for bringing new products to market more quickly."

"I am delighted to once again accept this award," said McSpurren, "and I would like to emphasize that this honor does not belong to me alone. Whitehill's team is dedicated to innovation, customer satisfaction, and business performance, and this award recognizes the hard work they have put in to achieving those goals.

"The fact that Whitehill has a satisfied customer like AEGON Direct Marketing Services, willing to speak at a high-profile trade show about its experience, demonstrates the positive working relationships between Whitehill and its clients," McSpurren continued. "Whitehill's staff is committed to creating delighted customers with every project, and those efforts continue to bear fruit."

To The Editor:

The United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick Inc. would like to thank the planning committee, participants and volunteers who made the 2007 Geeks on Ice event a community success.

This year's tournament had a great turnout with 16 registered teams of IT professionals who collectively raised $4,000 to purchase IT equipment for non-profit charitable agencies throughout Southeastern New Brunswick.

Trevor MacAusland, the founder of Geeks on Ice, along with his dedicated committee has done a fantastic job in showing the true meaning of community spirit. He has found a fun and successful way for IT Professionals throughout Atlantic Canada to network, stay active and give back to their community.

"The Geeks", (and we had fun saying that all weekend!) really gave their all to create friendly competition on and off the ice. The "GeekFest" at Dooly's Saturday night was great fun. Everyone involved, including community agencies, had a chance to relax, chat and experience what the tournament is all about - good times!

A special thank you to Service Canada who were awarded the coveted "Rising Stars Most Generous Geeks" trophy for being the team that raised the most funds in the tournament. Families and supporters came from out of town to cheer on their favourite team and they learned about United Way along the way.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2007 Geeks on Ice a success, from organizers, players, sponsors and fans - each of you had a positive impact in our community.

See you next year!
